domestic surveillance
We do not know our enemy.
What do you Really know
about your employee?
What do you Really know
about your lover?
What do you Really know
about your baby sitter?
What do you Really know
about your business associate?
“Reality itself is its
own evidence.”*
you have to have not
only clues but have it in a forensic way
An inherent vulnerability
of free and democratic societies is that they are subject to a greater
degree of terrorism and espionage activity because of the freedoms and
liberties enjoyed by the citizenry.
The objective of surveillance
is to obtain information about people, their associates, and their activities
through covert observations.
Government agencies
have detained hundreds of people for questioning
and are searching for
more.
Their intelligence is
very active trying to look out for possible collaborators
The government seeks
to broaden domestic surveillance
[and] went to great
lengths to conceal this operation from the public.
They are basically digging
in for a long guerrilla campaign.
The hallmark of free
societies is that deference is given to the citizens, not the government.
That's not for us to
determine.
It is still not clear
Disinformation is a
large part of its covert action
"The people most able
to give informed views will be unable to comment."
I understand the law
- the hair-splitting issue you speak of
I do not know why I
was chosen, or by whom
caught up in this illegal
domestic covert operation,
explaining how an attacker
thinks,
[just] to justify domestic
spying.
Tada! Ok, maybe it isn't
such a good idea:
the assumption of enormous
powers by federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies
Different countries
were given varying amounts of information, partly determined by how much
intelligence they had shared
Americans are split
when it comes to suspicion of people with Middle Eastern backgrounds
the process was cloaked
in absolute secrecy.
A rubberstamp court
conducts all of its hearings in a secret windowless courtroom
people will tell you
privately that they are questioning the wisdom of the government
The right of the people
to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable
searches and seizures, shall not be violated
rather than abandon
them, have recourse to explanations
inconsistent and incongruous
with the words written,
which explanations,
instead supplying a defense of the foreigners
capture all satellite,
microwave, cellular and fiber-optic traffic
An astonishing amount
of information exists as electromagnetic impulses
As an example of this
absurdity take a man whom I met
based on telephone interviews
with 1,001 adults
These communications
are ripe for the picking
evidence against US
citizens in criminal trials is growing rapidly.
It's all the same smut
as far as I am concerned.
The judge didn't take
kindly to it at all.
it will backfire on
you some day
sometimes it's just
a four letter word called HOPE
I'm going to try it
out straight-away when I get home today.
We would be happy to
discuss this matter with you..
Information is a double
edged sword.
