Looking into the soul of all existence via mass media: newspapers, radio and television. According to them, we are totally determined by heredity and environment. whether it is a flower, a new home loan, a subway system in New York City. What we see is a program to manipulate huge groups of individuals; to manipulate the average American Citizen [which is] indeed mostly speech and noise leading up to and going past the real point, using political warfare methods and propaganda with the purpose of baffling and amusing the audience [with] not much more than general assumptions. That's why ordinary Americans should care. As a people, we share fundamental beliefs and values with millions [of] strangers, co-workers, bosses, and even friends/relatives, often based solely on general observation and general knowledge. happiness is attainable only by diligent cultivation of civic virtue. and it is a good thing to be preoccupied with. we also must intensify our efforts to reform the challenges we now face and those we are likely to face in the future has any thought been given to the re-establishment of psychological warfare? clearly the balance of risks has now shifted, health and rights are about to take a new direction. equilibrium is a very good thing, indeed. look for discrepancies and/or gaps, lies, contradictions and mid-stream reversals deceptive advertisements and attacks in the press, calls for dropping of party loyalties and distinctions, radical artistic egocentrism [all of which] plunges millions into sudden [spiritual] poverty and disrupts and disorients the lives of ordinary people. We are told what to want, what to seek, what to have and desire. [according with] the theme of conformity [and mass distribution]. and almost without exception we accept these suggestions. [and] make allowance for their use with consequences both swift and severe. it seems to have happened so easily, so effortlessly, so inexorably, Nations must act together on fighting terrorism and the spread of [mental] disease: on standing together for peace. Failure to act will send a disturbing signal.
