BOOK 2 - #57 - 04/09 2001  12:30 pm

Here's a thought...
Why make theories more complex than necessary?
rather like creationists or behaviorists,
they have to create increasingly baroque "theories"
in order to avoid admitting the obvious.
I'd like to ask you if you're somewhat motionless (non-vibratory).
[Like a] steel fence between a parking lot & a highway,
[That makes an] eerie & wonderful noise.
Is continuous motion merely a subjective illusion?
— an infinitely divisible, smoothly structured space.
I like the concept of being able to move around
That is what we are here for after all.
[It is] a wonderful thing to be seen live.
[when computers are] as "tactile" as traditional instruments
it will truly be time to return to banging on things.
It's the perfect way to get groupies.
Although often misunderstood,
they are not sensitive to minute vibrations but they are
very sensitive to jostling and general abuse.
You can't know how to deal with it.
What we are seeing is a mirage of freedom.
it has as much right to existence as the numbers 5 or pi.

It is natural to look for beauty and to love it,
I believe I have some grounds for objection.
I honestly have nothing to say on the issue
I was much less confrontational and anxious...
left my gun home today.
