Well said, my friend.
Thank you for your advice
well, I wish you luck
I have to say that I
disagree
I encourage collage
artists to simply ignore you
Most of what you said
has nothing or little to do with
comments that advocate
completely disregarding
using unique images
collage isn't about
glue-sniffing grandmothers
You may get this idea
over and over.
I shake my fist at it
and call it a joke.
also the suggestion
of encasing
do what you feel is
right, but hey
I don't feel strongly
[about] glossy cosmo mags and coke commercials
I don't have a problem
with people
I've done a few collages
to date
the copyright police
have not been at my door
Collage is about creating
new forms of being
I never noticed the
back of the pieces
the main thing is you
can really change them!
My sincere apologies
is there lead in my
drinking water?
artistic process is
so much more important
it's important to respect
the work
i just remind myself:
Know your history.
If a person can't make
out your image
That is probably for
the best.
existence itself is
ART
don't be a sissy, take
issue with this
Collage is/can be a
political act
a kind of release of
artistic and psychological energy
that's never gonna get
seen by anyone
i found a piece of paper
on the ground and used it.
Regarding the realm
of "what if" and knee jerkism:
I worried about copyright
also
i just remind myself
it is a creative exercise--ART!
i have eased my brain
by using old stuff
I think I will look
with a different eye now.
make the issue go away
you really are talking
about a crime of magnitude
collage.. which is a
democratic, non-hierarchical form
its great "legal" system
is a joke.
stop worrying about
people ripping off your images
the poor little fishes
and birds have to deal with it everyday
they understand what
I'm talking about.
